Peachy Keen Culinary Consulting was started by April Mathews in 2020. April was born and raised in Georgia, where her Grandma Faye taught her to cook and bake from a young age. Her love for the culinary arts continued to grow throughout her life and career, despite graduating college with a degree in Physics and working as a particle physicist for 6 years. In 2013, April decided to change course and pursue her real passion: food. She has now worked in the culinary industry for over 9 years- creating menus, training staff, and opening over a dozen new locations with various companies and clients. Her love of peaches, pecans (pronounced PEE-CANS!) and sweet tea still lives on, even now, residing in Missouri with her husband and two dogs. Peachy Keen gets its name from the Georgia peach, reminding April that her home state and grandmother are always with her. And of course, her favorite dessert is peach pie.
